TRANSLATION
Inside the Conservatory of Rovigo was formed this quintet of musicians, Omit Five, from various Italian regions and quickly found their own path . They do a full post-bop modern elements or extraneous to the jazz in the strict sense , it has found a point of sedimentation in the first album recorded for Caligula Records and now a further development and step forward with this new production for English Slam Productions. Great disc , let us say at once , full of striking rhythmic cues , in full agreement with what is happening in world of contemporary jazz , and great compositions that emphasize the original appearance of the band, now with its own character . The numerous concerts in Italy and abroad , have been the breeding ground that has forgere contributed to their music, a kaleidoscope of colors and stamps which all the musicians Matt Dalla Pozza on alto sax ,Philip Vignato on trombone , guitar Joseph Circelli electtrica ,Rosa Brunello Sferruzza on bass and Simon on drums. The use of trombone, used with mutes and mindful of the great Roswell Rudd , along with the alto saxophone and the guitar makes it original , sparkling, has that something special that makes this group a reality of national absolute level , keeping up with what’s happening elsewhere, despite each of the five contributing with their own compositions to the whole. yet works , one might say , with a nice mix of modern and sounds ranging towards the main road . The solos are followed regularly and conviction , all good , part of an organism that breathes in unison. There is also a short piece for solo double bass of Rosa Brunello, Uyusukluk , dreamy ballad of the Three Views of a Dream but also the crackling Anni Luce or Fussmatten, perhaps one of the best moments of the album. The five are inspired by the music of modern authors , Dave Holland and Dave Douglas , for example , Greg Osby or Tim Berne , but have been able to make progress and acquired personality so you can put them among the most interesting Italian groups .

ORIGINAL
